Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive Paro, Transfer to Thimphu
Meet your guide at Paro airport and drive to Thimphu, stopping at the Buddha Dordenma statue en route.
DAY 2
Thimphu Full Day
Tashichho Dzong, the National Memorial Chorten, and the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal.
DAY 3
Thimphu to Punakha
Cross Dochula Pass, stopping at the 108 chortens, then descend into the warmer Punakha valley for an afternoon at Punakha Dzong.
DAY 4
Punakha to Gangtey
Drive through Wangdue to the Phobjikha valley. Visit Gangtey Monastery and take a gentle nature walk along the valley floor.
DAY 5
Phobjikha Valley
A full day at a slower pace — the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre, a village walk, and time simply sitting with the view.
DAY 6
Return to Paro
Drive back through Punakha and Wangdue to Paro, with a stop at Chimi Lhakhang if time allows.
DAY 7
Tiger's Nest Hike & Departure
The climb to Paro Taktsang, then a final lunch in the valley before your flight home.
